Editorial & Peer Review Experience

I have extensive experience in editorial leadership and peer review across leading international journals, academic publishers, and research funding bodies. My work reflects a sustained commitment to advancing rigorous, interdisciplinary scholarship in sociology, health, and social policy.

Editorial Roles

  • Co-Editor, Health: An Interdisciplinary Journal for the Social Study of Health, Illness and Medicine (Sage)
I oversee the peer review process and contribute to shaping the journal’s intellectual direction.
  • Book Reviews Editor, The Sociological Review Magazine
I commission and edit book reviews for the public-facing publication of The Sociological Review Foundation, which supports one of the world’s leading journals in sociological research.
  • Founding Member, Social Epistemology Review and Reply Collective (2011–present)
I helped establish this open-access platform linked to the journal Social Epistemology, which has achieved significant international reach, attracting approximately 10,000 monthly readers across 58 countries (as of 2022).
  • Editor, The Note, School of Sociology and Social Policy, University of Nottingham (2014–2015)
I led a small editorial team to produce quarterly editions of the School’s publication. This work was commended by the Head of School and later replicated across other departments within the university.
